Brooke Mimms

Brooke forms part of the Client Engagement team here at Virtalent and is well-versed in telling clients exactly how a Virtual Assistant can elevate their business, saving them time by giving them much-needed support in a cost-effective way. Digging deep and really getting to know the clients, Brooke then uses her knowledge and understanding to bespoke source them a VA, who she knows will be the absolute perfect match.

Brooke loves learning about the many different types of clients that she gets to chat with each day, from renowned coaches to dog groomers – the variety of clients is huge. Brooke finds it exciting to go from initial chat to perfect match and finds this element of her role super satisfying.

Brooke started her career in the cosmetics industry working in sales for Bobbi Brown, travelling to attend fashion shows and exhibits.  Soon realising that she wanted a role that offered more growth and management opportunities, Brooke moved to work for Lancome, followed by NARS – two roles which unlocked more creativity.  

Due to restructuring, Brooke found herself moving on into the retail industry to work for Harvey Nichols. Brooke really enjoyed working for this high-end and well-established company.

Having found that her commute to work each day just wasn’t providing a healthy work/life balance, Brooke decided to search for a job closer to home.  Brooke made a complete career u-turn and accepted a role as an Area Sales Manager for a waste management company.  Brooke really enjoyed her time here, but then made the decision to move back home to Yorkshire to be closer to her family.

This is where Brooke dipped her toe into the fast-paced world of healthcare recruitment.  As an emotionally invested person, Brooke found it hard to switch off from late-night calls and waiting to hear back from clients needing healthcare professionals through the clock.  So, she took some time for a short career break to assess what to do next.

Enter Virtalent – the rest is history!  Brooke loves every minute of her role here and finally has the much longed for work-life balance that working remotely brings. As well as enjoying the rewards of working with a wider team, Brooke also thrives on the opportunity to feel inspired every day by our client’s journeys.

Brooke loves nothing more than spending time with her family, and her two nieces and nephew, who are her everything. Brooke is a huge gym enthusiast and loves to journal.  She can also be found spending time listening to inspiring and motivational podcasts.  On the weekend, you’ll often find Brooke on a walk, grabbing brunch, or hiding in a coffee shop people-watching.
