The Beginning

Like so many success stories, founders Sam and Ellie Wilson put their all into Virtalent. Since launching Virtalent in 2014, the business has grown rapidly each year and now boasts a team of over 200 expert Virtual Assistants – all by reinvesting the company's own revenue and by focusing on recruiting the best people they can find.

The Opportunity

As entrepreneurs themselves, opportunity came out of their shared frustration in being unable to find reliable long-term support they could depend on. Sensing a gap in the market, Sam and Ellie began to explore the burgeoning Virtual Assistant sector, and discovered a wealth of professional VAs able to work closely with clients remotely: helping them achieve their growth aims and ambitions from their own workspaces.

The Challenge

Other VA companies existed, but Sam and Ellie wanted to challenge the conventional ‘task-focused’ Virtual Assistant agency model – which focused on quantity over quality. Instead, they focused on building meaningful one-to-one relationships with both clients and the VAs they worked with.

It’s a formula for success that continues today for their expanding client base.

Sarah Olsen, Business Manager

Sarah keeps a close eye on all aspects of the company, "steering the ship" as we continue to grow.

A natural relationship builder, pre-Virtalent, Sarah ran her own successful concierge business - so she too understands the needs of scaling businesses and has firsthand experience of what it’s like to support entrepreneurs and executives.

Away from her desk, Sarah is often found baking with her two kids or taking their energetic puppy for a long walk on the Wirral.

Kate Holland De Lange, Client Engagement Specialist

With her warm personality and keen sense of humour, Kate is your first port of call if you’re interested in working with a Virtalent VA. Kate will use her super sleuth skills to find out how your business works, what makes you tick and exactly what you’ll need from us to help grow your business. Once armed with this information, she’ll search our talented pool of VAs to find you the perfect match!

Outside of work, Kate has two teenage children, as well as a cat and dog, all of whom keep her on her toes. But to balance this out, Kate can often be found in her favourite tranquil place - her garden!

Holly Court, Recruitment Manager

Holly is an expert at hunting down the very best VAs in the UK. With a keen eye for finding the finest talent, she puts all new joiners through their paces to ensure they are top tier, before they can join our team. Holly knows exactly what it takes to work with our ambitious clients - under Holly’s watch they’ll only get matched with the cream of the crop!

When she’s not recruiting, Holly loves to spend time in the Suffolk countryside. Holly also loves walking, yoga, gardening and reading, and is a Cat Mum to Belle!

Kelly Dunsdon,
Team & Community Coordinator

Kelly is a master of all things - let’s just say she gets stuck in all areas of the business and is a pro at multitasking. Using her wider knowledge of all things Virtalent, she works closely with the management team to ensure the whole team is well-supported and can operate as efficiently as possible. Alongside this, Kelly assists with business projects, award submissions and much more! As a huge advocate of community, Kelly is also proudly building a welcoming and nurturing space for our wonderful team of VAs.

Outside of Virtalent, Kelly is a huge musical theatre fan and even writes the occasional theatre review. It’s no surprise, as a retired dance Mum, she’s spent most of her time over the last few years, raising a budding star herself!

Steph Kowalski,

Steph is a true people person and an expert in providing outstanding customer service. With a resourceful and positive attitude, Steph is fantastic at doing all she can in the name of client happiness. Having worked as a VA herself, she is fully equipped with first-hand knowledge of exactly how a VA can add the utmost value to our clients. Steph is full of creative and insightful suggestions, as well as always willing to go the extra mile, so our clients are in the safest hands with Steph!

Outside of work, Steph is a proud Mum to two teenage children and three cats. She can often be found with her head in a golden age detective fiction book - think Agatha Christie! Steph is also a huge pilates fan, which she practises regularly and loves to craft.

Lisa is uber-experienced in all things client relationships and with a pragmatic and charismatic personality is the perfect person to lead the success of our clients. Always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the client experience, Lisa ensures all clients receive a first-class experience. Helping every client to achieve their goals, Lisa can be depended on to listen, support and nurture all of our client's needs.

Outside of work, nothing makes Lisa happier than spending time with her young son and husband. Lisa loves to spend time outside exploring as a family and is also a huge fan of cake - with a huge sweet tooth!

Brooke Mimms,
Client Engagement Specialist

With a warm and bubbly personality, Brooke is the perfect person to be the initial point of contact for clients looking to work with a Virtalent VA. Brooke enjoys digging deep with clients to get a full picture of their business needs and goals, from exploring what matters most to them and their business, to the type of person that they enjoy working with the most. Armed with all of this valuable information, Brooke uses her impeccable match-making skills, to search our incredible team of amazing VAs, to find each client their bespoke perfect match.

When she isn’t matchmaking VAs to clients, Brooke is a family girl and loves spending time taking on Auntie duties with her young nieces and nephew. Brooke is also a foodie and loves to cook and visit new restaurants. She’s also been known to “borrow” her friend's gorgeous sausage dog to take on walks and grab a coffee and cake together!

Kim Miller,
Recruitment Manager

Kim is a pro at sourcing the very best VAs to join our incredible team. Always looking for top-tier candidates, Kim uses all her expertise to ensure that all potential new VAs are supported through our rigorous recruitment process. She ensures we handpick only the very best VAs for our clients!

Outside of recruitment, Kim loves spending time with her husband, children and gorgeous Cockapoo, Roxy, as well as enjoying the local countryside. With her love of new cultures and languages, Kim enjoys nothing more than planning ideas for new places to travel with her family, including opportunities to practise her French language skills!
